N64 Controller Woes
-
I bought an 8BitDo N64 controller so I can have a more realistic gameplay experience. I have the controller working perfectly with the Pi. It syncs with it during bootup and everything is good. However, I can't for the life of me make it work right in the emulators. The document posted here:

Is only somewhat helpful. Case in point... I don't know which settings to use. I'm wanting to use thelr-mupen64
core. Specifically because it works withRetroAchievements
. So I use the settings they suggest for this core when mapping it in ES (The YellowC
buttons are mapped to the RetroPadRight Stick
, and theZ-Trigger
is mapped to theL2-Left Trigger
button). Once I get into a game some of the buttons aren't working. For instance, theC-Left
andC-Down
are dead, as is theZ-Trigger
button. Also interestingly, theL1-Left Shoulder
seems to be doing theZ-Trigger
action.I've also tried using the standalone
mupen64plus
core, and it doesn't even load. The runcommand script doesn't change the setting. I've tried updating from source all the cores related, and nothing. I'm not sure if I screwed up something or not.So my question going out to you guys is this.. What button mappings are you guys using, and what settings in the LR core are you using?

Anybody had any success with the mapping instructions posted here?
