Good afternoon folks.. this should hopefully be pretty quick.

I am working on a mini bartop in which im using a 7.1" pi lcd w/ a pi 3. Its so convenient because it mounts on the back of the LCD.
However 1 5v 3amp PS isnt enough to run it (without getting the lightning bolt anyway). A couple questions.

      1. Does anyone run it with the lightning bolt and just ignore it? SHould it be fine?
      2. If i used a 12v PS with a step down to 5v 3amp for the PI, AND the same thing for the Display, would that work? I guess what im asking is can you feed 2 step downs from a single PS?

My dilemna is that I want one PS feeding the entire bartop, but one step down to 5v isnt cutting it (lightning bolt).

      thank you in advance :)
