Ok, started a fresh image with motion blue v5 as the base. I was able to find an arcade rom set v4 to throw on there which uses mame2003 and mame2010 for most the games. For some reason though, my trackball will not work. As well as centipede won't boot. I found a non merged. 78 romsets which I downloaded. Tried transferring centipede over and tried booting with mame2003 and still nothing. All I want is a good arcade set that works with trackball... Any suggestions?

It's not a 0.78 rom then. Centipede works perfectly with lr-mame2003. Advmame is your best bet for spinners and trackballs anyway. What is an "arcade romset v4"? Follow the advice in here:

          1. Make sure you are using an official image, or have done a manual install yourself. We will not support 3rd party images.

I do not recommend you use 3rd party images. Especially those that include ROMs. They damage the RetroPie project, and you put yourself at risk of malware. We also don't know how they are configured.

Motion blue is a hodgepodge mess of a build, it tries wayyy too hard to do everything a media PC would do, but just ends up being a bloated mess of randomware.

Official install is the way to go.

@kmetz7547 I just read your previous post on this. You cannot use advmame roms in lr-mame2003. You need to read through the documentation and understand why before posting the same questions.
