Good afternoon... So one of my buddies wants me to build him a machine (almost entirely for crystal castles) so I need to get a trackball in there. However the ultimarc housing appears to be like 5+ inches in each direction, which wont make for a very slim profile cabinet.
I cant seem to find a USB 2.5" ball or something with a small housing to fit in to a more slimline cabinet. DOes anyone have a bead on a USB (for use with retropie) trackball not in the ultimarc size scale?
      Looking maybe at 3.5" x 3.5" housing?
      thank you

EDIT: has anyone used a smaller one, with a PS2 to USB adapter? would that work?
      thanks

TwistedQuarter (.com) some some 2 1/4inch trackballs.

I've used one before with RetroPie and it worked pretty good. Mounting depth is a bit shallow so you're almost forced to use the 2 1/4 metal mounting bracket with it.

But .. it did work pretty good and had no complaints about it's use. Their casing size is a little smaller than the Ultimarc one's too.

do you have any information on its dimensions? the website doesnt offer them (ill inquire of course).
Like length, width and depth. Id like to get the cabinet on the laser before this arrives :)
          thank you

i called them and got the dimensions... for anyone wondering.

4.69x4.69" square will be the clearance needed.
and its 2.20" deep, or 3.1" or so with the LED lit ball
