Yep the e-mail address in my profile is correct.
I have 4 Famicoms laying around. One was my first try to bleach it for edmaul69 and it discolored the front label and rear label. Then 2 are in very shitty condition and are intended to be slaughtered and used as spare parts. And then I have one which is in not so bad condition. It could use a bit of cleaning with alcohol and some scrubbing with a brush but other then that not bad.Today I went to three 2nd hand stores here and they had all kinds of rare stuff. They had a full working and complete PC Engine for 7600 Yen (around 50 GBP). There are core grafx here but they are VERY pricey. They also had one today complete with all what you need and working for 15000 Yen (around 100 GBP)
True, with the core grafx color would be no issue. However they have the so called "Junk corners" where you sometimes can find those consoles without anything and not working for a very good price.
Anyways, sorry for deviating from the topic here...just send me an e-mail whenever you are ready then we can talk further about it.

@ruckage I appreciate it very much, the size of the original source I see it well although something smaller would fit better. The other source you have put, I see something small although it would show the full title.
Would it be possible to add at least 3 font sizes?
I do not want to insist too much but I think that way we would have more options to personalize the content.
Thanks again!
PS: where I see particularly useful also the size of the letter is in the section of retropie config.
Here it is interesting that it looks smaller even showing more options before scrolling down.
Sorry, no I can't. What I've posted is the best I can do. This works because those two fonts can be interchanged without affecting placement, any other fonts/sizes would require many more changes to the code which would become far too time consuming and complicated when taking into consideration the different resolutions and 4:3 support that is planned.

I understand the difficulty that it entails .. in any case I thank you the change of last hour to be able to choose source. This will help me a lot

@ruckage the smaller font is great, do you think it is possible to align it in the center of the box ? It looks like a little up in the box to me

You didn't read my post ;)

........
I made a quick test using the name you provided but I will need to adjust the font so that it is centred in the bar. This smaller font allows for around 50% more characters to be displayed. -
@ruckage Is there a "template" available for making our own icons to use for collections, etc.?
-
@ruckage How can I go about using the experimental package 'launchingimages' with your theme? You said it uses a single theme.xml and generating launching images returns an error like "no theme.xml for system". Is there a way to get this to work?
Thanks
-
@ruckage Would it be possible to use a retro font that is not as wide as this one though? So you wouldn't have to change font size.
Also, I would love to change the description font size, as it is far too small. And I guess it is not something that could be manipulated from a theme, but it would be cool if we could control and scroll the description using the right stick (if available) for example. -

I don't think there is, however I will be releasing an official launch images pack as I have with the nes-mini theme.

Besides, the list font is based on an actual font Nintendo used and I like it.
Regarding description text I disagree that it's too small, it seems perfectly readable to me, it's certainly not something I've had any complaints about. I do however think the line spacing is a bit too close so I have increased the line spacing slightly.

Oh okay, I'll definitely be looking forward to that. :)

Thanks for looking. Wow, PC Engines are more expensive than I thought they would be. They're expensive here due to rarity but I thought they were quite common in Japan (though I suppose nowhere near as common as Nintendo consoles). To be honest £50 or even £100 isn't bad for a fully working console but it's a bit too much to just use it for raspberry pi case (and if they are scarce it seems a bit wrong to destroy one anyway). It's a shame PC Engine isn't more mainstream as then we might have gotten a PC Engine classic :) .

Like I said I keep my eyes open maybe we get lucky and find a Junk one that looks decent.
Meanwhile if you like drop me an e-mail with your address and phone number and I'll send you one Famicom over.
And don't worry about the cost I got that covered. It's the least I can do considering all the work you have done for us here. -
@flyingtomahawk
Wow, that's amazingly kind of you. I'll email you shortly. -

I had never even heard of the PC Engine (or the TurboGrafx) until I started playing with RetroPie, and I grew up in the era of NES, Gameboy and MasterSystem. I guess they just never hit it big in Australia (or Singapore, where I spent a few years during the prime of SNES and MegaDrive).

Same in the UK, I think they were only really popular in Japan and The USA, though as with the SNES the USA TG16 didn't look as nice as the PC Engine (why did they make it so big - it must be virtually empty, the PC Engine was cool because it was so small).
I only knew about them when I was younger as they would review PC engine games in the 'Computer and Video Games' magazine, it was far superior to any other 8bit console.

So that we can put a RPi 3 inside it without big troubles. They knew the future so they prepared for it. :-) Smart people.

Well that just sounds like cheating :)

I loved your Retropie/Nintendo opening, but for my collection it wasn't a long enough to cover the load time for all my games. I made an extended version which I hope you all enjoy.
-
@iiechapman I would have personally swapped the order of clips, having it end with the RetroPie logo. Perhaps do a reupload and render it out as a mp4 and try and decrease the file size a bit. It's a bit huge. Haha

The TG16 was seriously massive. My next door neighbor had one growing up. Thing was ColecoVision long and that was only that big to store those massive controllers.
