Did you even get to explain how to locally configure the theme - without losing the configurations on subsequent updates ?
-
@mitu
Hi. I'd like to get the next update finished first as there will be a few changes to the config file. Once that's ready I'll make a tutorial showing how it's done. -
Awesome work!
There it's any plans to approach the FBA subsystems like Capcom, Cave, CPS1, CPS2, CPS3, DataEast, Galaxian, Irem, Kaneko, Konami, Pacman, PGM, Psikyo, Sega, Taito, Technos, Toaplan, Misc Post 90's and Misc Pre 90's ?If so, maybe you can use this SVG files: download

thank you for this amazing theme! my fave so far :)
please consider adding Atari 800 as well!
-
hey, installed this theme tonight and love it, only have 1 issue though. i have a few games list in my menu that dont appear. i have
cave, cps1, cps2, cps3, dataeast, galaxian, irem, kaneko, konami, midway, pacman, pgm, psikyo, sega, seta, taito, technos, toaplan.none of these have a custom image so they just show up as white text.
how would i go about adding a custom image for each of these for my menu? as i love the theme but not keen on the white text of these. -
@ruckage I've installed the Nes Mini and Famicom Mini themes. Almost everything fits perfect, Just the game names are out of bounds on the left side. It's just 1 character. If the SNES theme gets the same thing, it's ok for me. I've sent a picture to be more specific (sorry for the low resolution pic). Do you know a way to force Emulationstation resolution to an "emulated" widescreen, with black borders at top and bottom? This coul'd be a workaround for me.
-
@danielmewhouse the theme only works in 1080p widescreen. You can get it to work by forcing the pi into 1080p but you may get back bars on top and bottom of the screen if your screen is not 16:9
-
Using SNES mini - love it and added pspminis.png in art/icons and icons_usa , it works and looks great, however I can't seem to upload to your github (i'm not that good with that tool) - as for logo i simply cloned psp and named it pspminis.png
If you could add support for nes mini that would be great as well. -
@lostless I know the limitations of current theme release. Ruckage is working on the "squared" resolution right now. I can survive to this bars 'til next release become available. I just don't know how to set this. Can you help me?
-
@danielmewhouse go to raspi-config and somewhere in there is an option to force set a resolution. Set it to 1080p.
-
also you can set emulators to use your screen shape in the run command. Press a button during a game boot up and set it there. Do this so your games donโt run in 16x9
-
@lostless thank you for help. I managed to find the resolution menu, but only got squared resolutions. I think it's related to my screen.
-
@lostless this config corrected the misplacing game names!!! Thank you very much!!!

@kal-el-1981 is just me or this psp icon looks like a digital camera? If you could make it like GBA icon (half directional/screen/half buttons) will be better.

Just going by your list that 19 new sytems and at a conservative 1 hour to make images for each system it's at least 19 hours work. I also doubt many people would have need for them and it's unnecessary as there is a generic custom collections folder where unthemed collections appear. Alternatively just separate your roms into folders.

This will be because you've manually added these as systems and not used the collections feature built into ES. Use collections and these systems will appear in the custom collections folder. Alternatively separate you roms into folders within the Mame/Fba roms folder.

I'm not currently accepting contribution to the Github as I wish to work on the theme alone. I don't plan to add a specific psp mini section at the moment but maybe later (is it really needed - why not just have a folder within the psp section?).

I'm happy with my PSP icon so it will be staying as it is.

when i use the SIMPLE-BIG-ART theme these all show up with their own logo, i have tried adding them again with the collections feature but again nothing is working. Are there images for these for these sets in the skin at all? if not no worries.
-
@danielmewhouse I like @ruckage 's icons just like they are. I only make small alterations for my own personal use for extra collections that I have that aren't currently supported in his theme.
-
@ruckage And this is the beauty of open source and Github - people can fork to support the consoles you don't have the energy to deal with and you can keep your version untouched.
