SNES mini theme

@MapleStory im with you there too man, hope it makes it on the list!

Howdy! Love the theme. I was messing with it, trying to figure out how to get the US snes background and I think I figured it out. If you move the style selector ahead of the background selector, in config.xml, the region variable will be loaded and available.
config.xml
<!-- Choose your theme style (snes_europe or snes_usa or nes_rich_europe or nes_rich_usa or nes_simple_europe or nes_simple_usa) --> <include>./style/snes_usa.xml</include> <!-- Choose your background (For the available options see the jpg files named ## BACKGROUND GUIDE ##) --> <include>./background/neon_blue_spectrum.xml</include>
I didn't check to make sure it doesn't break anything, but it shouldn't. Hope this helps!

Looking forward to grid view, I've got emulationstation set up on my PC since I was tired of dealing with Launchbox.

Same. Launchbox is so cumbersome and slow. ES with this theme is perfect. :)

First of all, that for the theme, as a 8 bit fanatic this is one of the best themes i've ever seen for emulationstation, goor work @ruckage .
There is only one think that I am missing right now and is a scummvm icon, I would be pleased to create one. Is there any PSD or similar layout to work with?
Thanks one more time!

Here's one I made. This isn't intended as any kind of attempt to finish the authors work, love this theme. You can find instructions elsewhere in this thread to add the image.
Epic!

@ruckage , now that the
lr-scummvm
libretro core is officially in RetroPie and is really easy to play ScummVM games using gamepads, maybe is a good idea to include support for the scummvm system in the SNES-mini too :)
Your artwork is really nice and this system deserves a chance :) -
Hi @ruckage first of all, thank you for this great theme, it is just incredible! I have one question though(excuse my ignorance I am kind of new in retropie). The upgrades mentioned throughout the forum are available on the online version that you can download from ES? For instance the collections misisng icon and background. Thank you so much!

Hi, just made an account to thank you for the work you've done on this, Ruckage - I hadn't touched my pi in over a year but got back into tinkering after pairing your theme with that new Retroflag Superpi case, they really complement eachother nicely.
Regarding other systems, probably not a priority but it would be really cool to have a Mega Drive icon based on the Japanese models and branding, as alternative to the European one you've already done, same same goes for the Mega CD and 32X. Maybe even the Sega Mark III as an alternate for the Master System?
Just a thought, I imagine you want to prioritise those systems without any icon at all for the timebeing.
Agreed with this one - These 4 would be a great addition.

I'm sure I can get them added. Time has just flown by the last couple of months and I haven't had much time. As soon as I have the theme ported to Recalbox though I'll begin taking requests to get missing systems added.
-
Can't wait for new systems. I have a big black hole for Sega Saturn and Atari Jaguar right now.
-
@ruckage That sounds awesome cant wait to see some new systems supported! Glad you are still working on this project. Everyone who sees the theme on my pi switches to it because it looks so good.

That's super thanks @ruckage , I believe the system images are there duplicated from other systems (apart from markIII), mainly the name logos that need doing. :)

It's been a wile, but does your snes mini theme support collections and more systems - complete similar support as hursty supersweet and hey chromy?

When do you think will be available your Recalbox theme @ruckage?? I'm waiting for it along time ago.. thanks for your effort.

@ruckage I absolutely love the snes-mini theme on RetroPie. How can I make it look like the US version? You know, the one with purple ON/OFF and RESET sliders.
Thank you for your great work!
EDIT: Nevermind, just found it! https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12583/snes-mini-theme/134

How would I go about adding an icon for a system? I'm using Dolphin for emulating Gamecube, but there isn't an icon included in the theme.

I feel like I’m being completely dumb but how do I get this theme to play videos? I’ve been using it for ages but have only just used skyscraper so now have the covers on a box with a screenshot as the main image and a “wheel” and “marquee” image, so it looks miles better than just showing a picture of the front of the box.
However I also scraped videos for all my games but when I highlight each one, the video doesn’t show - the main image is just a screenshot. I presume that’s where the video would be?
This says this theme does support video previews so I assume I just need to tweak something. Appreciate any help. Theme is mega!

@Baz Change the Gamelist View Style to Video in the UI settings and you might get video.
