I'm building a MintyPi console (SudoMod Forums: http://www.sudomod.com/wiki/index.php?title=MintyPi) made by wermy (YouTube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRP1Zx7B4b66ZwkB2Ov5pMw) and I put roms on the system, but they wont launch on RetroPie. I'm using a Raspberry Pi Zero W running EmulationStation. I'm not sure about specific launch sequences or anything like that, and I don't know any way to access anything like that. Can someone please help me?

Edit: I should also mention that whenever I select a game, the screen goes black. I can still use the "back to menu" bind, but the game won't run. Tried it with SNES, NES and Gameboy titles.

Sure thing but you must fill this out to enable people to see what you are working with:
