MAME ROW #52 - 1st Anniversary Edition - Phoenix
-
Hmm that was a hard one, but I had to go with Joust over DonPachi. DonPachi is my jam, but not as much as DoDonPachi is my greater jam.
-
Would someone else vote for Phoenix please?
Then we would compete on three games the same time ;)- Monday: Joust
- Tuesday: Pang
- Wednesday: Phoenix
-
Sorry @cyperghost . Voted for Joust :)
-
@pjft Good choice ;)
-
Had to go with Joust.
It's my favourite arcade game since I got into this whole MAME thing, and I'm about to start reading Ready Player One (yeah, I'm slow, I know...) -
Voting ends in three and a half hours!
-
Everything old is new again. The winner for the one year anniversary is Phoenix
-
@obsidianspider Wow! Now let the games begin!
-
-
I would like to see @qix77 back here. :-)
BTW, let's abuse that bug! :-)

What? How did this happen? Booo! last I looked Joust was in the lead by double! Oh well. I guess I will have to take a crack at this game again. . . Maybe someone wants to write a few tips about this game?

Gladly
Tip 1: Never Play Phoenix

@obsidianspider I wish I had a Phoenix cabinet, or a playable arcade cabinet. Mine is in storage while we renovate our basement

@meleu Bug?
We started talking about the bug here: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/post/88038
-
-
@meleu I looked at the investigation of that bug and it sounds like if you trigger it once you don't want to do it again, as triggering it a second time will reset back to 204,000. Is that right? SO, the trick would be to do it one time, then avoid it after that, so you can improve your score beyond 204k.
