      It would be a cool idea to make some sort of driver to allow you to play your ps1, sega cd, and other cd based games that the pi supports directly from a cd or rip it. There is a actual product coming out that is going to play cd based games already.

        @deltax5 the only system you can use the discs is dos games in dosbox. I dont know of any other system on the pi that does.

          @edmaul69 I haven't looked at it but possible there may be a psx emulator that plays discs but more likely just dumps the disc and plays the dumped iso

            @herb_fargus that was one thing i liked about the original xbox. Being able to play all my discs was awesome. I had to rip all my pcengine and sega cd games to use on the pi.

              Metal jesses on youtube received the test unit. There using a piorange. IDK if it's better or worse then the raspberry pi but they figured out to play games off the disk. Check it out on youtube for yourself.
