Installed on Odroid XU4 cant get retropie to wprk

Hi i'm writing this on my phone. So i followed the instruction on the github for odroid xu4. I made a account called retropie, so now i have 2 accounts. Then i ran the install script i first did a basic install, then updated it, after that i did the reboot option. So it restarted i used my retropie profile. by that time i did't know if i need to start it someone i read to do emulationstation in terminal then i got a error saying something like it couldn't open the screen for emulation station i believe in 5 lines with errors.

i Tryed todo cntrl - alt - F1 and did it but i don't have a monitor with hdmi so i must use a tv and it has a bad overscale

@mrmetech Did you follow the instructions from https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Odroid-XU4/ ?

As far as I can tell from the docs, you're supposed to run ES from outside X11 and disable the graphical login manager, are you running the command from your desktop session ?
