I have a Pi zero and the normal default starting image all updated. I am using an Amazon Fire Game Pad. When emulation station is running the game pad loses connection after a period of non use. Press a button and wait a second and it's back. This seems like normal behavior.

However when I start an emulator (currently 2600 and 7800 and coleco) the controller disconnects and either takes quite a while to connect or never does.

Is this normal? Should I stick with wired controllers?

      Thanks!
