      Hi I'm new to the forum and retro pi..can someone please help me..I configured my controller when going into emulation station and can scroll through games and systems but when I go into a game I can't press start to play the game...TIA

          @jonnykesh sorry pal I've never posted in any forms I read the rules and understand what you mean..by me saying it doesn't work I meant,when I choose a game and I get the start option I click start on my remote but it doesn't start the game

            @juan19802005 I understand that. I'm saying you should post some relevant info. Are you even using a Pi? A Pi3, a Pi2, a zero...? What controller? What game? What system? What emulator?
            Not every game starts by pressing start. For example the Sega Master System had no dedicated start button on the controller, you just pressed button 1.

              If a emu that had a start button, have you tried remapping your controller? Have you tried a different controller, maybe the controller is FUBAR.

                @jonnykesh oh ok sorry pal..it's a retro pi 3 and I was in the Nintendo system game was contra,suoer Mario ...I have this snes controller but now I csnt even scroll left or right with controller I have to use keyboard to scroll..I went into retro arch configuration but I don't know if I'm at the right place to auto config it

                  @jonnykesh I see something that says please choose the value for input player1 joypad..do I do anything in there ,it says unset ,what value would I put in there?

                    @juan19802005 if you don't even know which emulator you're using and what configs you've changed I'd suggest going back to the docs and giving them a read.
