      Good Morning Folks,

I am a long time lurker first time poster here. I typically can search and find anything I run into but I am stumped. I am setting up a small retropie box using ps3 controllers over bluetooth. I downloaded the latest image file and installed on a new sd card. I then powered up the pi and logged into wifi. Checked I had an IP address and connection. I then went to retropie options and went to he area you install drivers. I click on the ps3 driver package and the unit freezes.

I tried 3 seperate pies and 2 different cards. I tried wired and wireless networks. Interestingly, when you click on the ps3 driver and no netwrok is hooked up it takes to to the next screen to start the install and will try and say it could not find the files. As soon as you hookup to the network it will not let you get past.

Does anyone have any ideas? I even tried going in without network then plugging in a cat5 cable until it linked and tried but no luck. Seems strange.

I am doing the steps as described but clicking on the ps3 driver bricks the machine until a reboot.

      Any ideas would be great.

I'm currently running a similar setup with two DualShock 3 controllers running wirelessly on a Pi3 running off of the internal Pi Bluetooth. You didn't mention what Pi you are running on yourself.

I seem to remember doing about the same thing you did - running the ps3controller setup but I think I had done it just before there was a change made a few days afterwards. I haven't run it since so maybe the recent change to ps3controller is the cause?
