help enable virtual keyboard in retroarch
-
Hi. i want to use retropie without any phisical keyboard support.
i configured a small rpizerow with 2 small 8bitdoZero, for a very compact and portable all-in-a-pocket setup, with all very-very old 8bit emulators with retropie 4.3.
all libretro cores works fine, using default controller config, but some of them, like Odissy, Vice, Intellivision, needs some keyboard input to start most games and sometimes to quit emulator. i saw in retroarch config a "virtual keyboard toggle button" to bind... but binding doesnt start any virtual keyboard. must i install some packet, or configure something to do it works? -
@tostati The Intellivision emulator doesn't use RetroArch configs so enabling the virtual keyboard will have no effect. It's worth checking whether Vice and Odyssey are RetroArch or not.
Please check the relevant pages in Docs on more information regarding configuring controllers for these emulators.

This doesn't answer the OP's relevant question though:
How do I enable the virtual keyboard in Retroarch emulators? There's a binding for it, but nothing happens when I press it. No virtual keyboard is shown.

Try selecting a keyboard preset from the on screen display menu.
