      Version: Retropie 4.3
      Location (external HD): G:\retropie-mount\roms

Hi, I just have 3 japaneses games that I want to launch for the MSX and they are Metal Gear 1 and 2, and Akumajou Dracula Vampire Killer. Unfortunately, they don't show up into retropie and I can't figure it out.

MAybe I've got the wrong BIOS file ?!?

Where did you copy the files and what extension do the files have ? Have you checked https://retropie.org.uk/docs/MSX/ ?

Hi, i tried to copy the bios (msx.rom, msx2.rom, msx2ext.rom) files in both:
          G:\retropie-mount\BIOS\Machines\Shared Roms
          G:\retropie-mount\BIOS
          and it didn't work.

The roms are located in :
          G:\retropie-mount\roms\msx
They are 2 .msx2 files and one .rom.

@tomume Can you post the EmulationStation logs after you restart it from the menu ? We can at least see what files it detects in the msx folder. The log should be the /home/pi/.emulationstation/es_log.txt.

Do you have any other emulators configured ? If you copy - for instance - a NES ROM into the G:\retropie-mount\roms\nes folder, does it show in EmulationStation ?

yes everything works except msx. Bios files are taken into account by the psx emulator as I don't have the Bios file is missing text warning.

How do I access those files in win7/10 `?

@tomume Use WinSCP to log in to the RPi to access the folder (/home/pi/.emulationstation) and view/transfer the file.

@tomume I forgot to mention the 1st thing to check - did you install the emulator(s) for the MSX system from the RetroPie setup ?

I've never installed any emulator specifically in retropie... How do I do that ?

@tomume https://retropie.org.uk/docs/First-Installation/#installing-additional-emulators - choose to install the emulators for MSX - lr-bluemsx. Then restart ES and see if your ROMs (and the MSX folder) appear.
Check the file extension and make sure you use lowecase for the ROMs.
