Help with glitch in Crash Bandicoot on psx

Emulating Crash Bandicoot for PlayStation and I’ve gotten to the ‘heavy machinery’ level on the third island and have come across a glitch only on this level so far. In the level, there are the transporter pads and they don’t seem to work. Some of them can be jumped around but most of them are pretty essential to the level. Has anyone had this glitch also? Is my rom corrupted or is there some kind of patch that can be downloaded?
