Pi Model or other hardware: 3 Model B
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.3.6
      Built From: https://retropie.org.uk/download/
      USB Devices connected: none
      Controller used: WiiU Pro Controller
      Error messages received: none
      Emulator: lr-pcsx-rearmed

It's the first time I'm setting up a RetroPie and everything works great, just with one exception: the PlayStation games Rockman Complete Works (Part 1 to 6) don't recognize the controller. I can push any button, it has no effect. The only thing I can do is accessing the RetroArch menu with the hotbutton combination. Other games are working perfectly with this emulator and controller.

I've read on another website, that a possibility would be to change the control type to analogue, but that had no effect, the controller still doesn't work.

Any other ideas how to solve this problem?

      Thanks in advance.

@seppatoni In the interest of science, I gave it a try and didn't have any errors. I'm using the same controller, with a stock RetroPie installation and same emulator.
I loaded the game from a .cue/.bin combination - Rockman 2 - and every button worked (at least the ones used in the game). I played for a bit, then exited.
Try enabling the verbose logging in the Runcommand menu (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Runcommand/#runcommand-launch-menu) and upload the log file (/dev/shm/runcommand.log) to a site like pastebin.com to see if we can spot any errors.

I think I found the problem: something was wrong with my BIOS. I deleted the current BIOS-file and put in a new one - and now it works.

But thanks for your effort, @mitu
