      HELP ME

So, I've just gotten my retropie and I have gotten all my games that I want on it so far. Now I just want to get fancy and add slick video screensavers. I do understand the concept of putting them in the gamelist but I'm not understanding how. I have been trying all the things people said to do but they haven't worked, I just need help with this.

Do you have any video scraped for your games ? That's the source for the screensavers - so you should get those using the Steven Selph's scraper - https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Scraper/.
Then, you can look in the video posted by @retroprogrammer - skip the whole updating and re-installing - to see how it's configured in EmulationStation.
