sudden Retroarch GUI changes (only to ps1)
-
So for some reason the retroarch GUI has changed with no update after a system reboot but only if I'm using psx games the new GUI is much akin to the recall box or ps3 menus i like it a lot more than the green pixelated menu but it deleted all my core/game configuration files so I had to manually re do all my shader pre sets and custom hot keys and its only one system and I haven't updated recently so any ideas why this happened and how I make all the cores have the nice new retroarch GUI
TLDR. How do I make the new retroarch GUI appear for all my consoles not just ps1? -
@8bitkid retropie defaults a bunch of settings in retroarch - one of which is to use the 'old' green RGUI menu. if you're suddenly seeing the newer XMB menu, then it sounds like your default retroarch.cfg for psx has become corrupt or deleted, as this is the retroarch default. this is bad news, as without the retropie default settings a bunch of stuff will work badly/not at all.
to reinstate retropie default settings for psx, reinstall the emulator in question (lr-pcsx_rearmed) and rename the retroarch.cfg.rp-dist file in /opt/retropie/configs/psx/ to retroarch.cfg
if after that you want all cores to have XMB, use https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Configuration-Editor to change menu_driver to XMB for all libretro cores.
