Shenmue loading save issue

Running reicast emulator with European rom and bios, The game itself runs ok but the issue is loading the saved data, I formatted the corrupt vmu already, the first time I saved the game it loaded fine but now it just says no saved data found but when I go on the reicast+ Vmu menu the save data is there?
