Hi! I'm in the process of reorganizing my retropie system to be able to use smaller SD cards for automatically switching video configuration for different devices (such an HDTV or a 320x240 projector I have). Every card would only have the system (particularly configured for the output device) and the games, savegames and so on would be on the USB.

I've read everything here: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Running-ROMs-from-a-USB-drive and I'm going to use the automatic mount method, but I still have some questions.

      • After copying the Retropie folder, how do I delete the old Retropie folder on the SD if it's automatically mounted to the old one in each boot?

      • I would love to the make an image of my Retropie system (that is now sitting in a 128gb sd card) and trim it to the minimum size I can get without the Retropie folder, to be able to copy that image to multiple smaller SDs (8gb ones, for example) and then expand the filesystem. What is the easiest and most up to date method to do that?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
