      @flamingflareon You're fine just shutting down the PI with unplugging, just make sure you don't do this every time.
      You probably configured your controller to use a dedicated Hotkey button, and that button is used instead of Select. Re-map your controller, skip the Hotkey assignment and you'll be asked to use the Select button. Confirm this and then re-try to see if it works.

            Sorry but the exiting worked when i changed my hotkey but I still cant get it to save

              @flamingflareon How are you trying to save - which game/emulator/key combo ?

                I try to use SELECT+R_SHOULDER to save and nothing happens on any game/emulator and on n64,Gba.gbc and more+atari i cant get to save

                  @flamingflareon Have you mapped the R1 button correctly ? You can save pressing Select+X, then using 'Save'.

                    I am sooooo sory but now with the configured hotkey as select BTW i am using a ps4 controller, it exits so when i enter a game and hit start to start it closes out can you give me a list of proper button configurations plz?

                          @flamingflareon Are you able to save from the RGUI ? You can save pressing Select+X, then using Save State. Does this work ? If it does not, then take a moment and give more details about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
