fresh install retropie , slight stuttering with overlay and crt-pi shader

can anyone tell me why i get slight stuttering with fresh install retropie running mame 2003 or fba with mame overlay and crt-pi_mame2003_configs_1920x1080 from dankcushions are people using this without no problems, thanks

Using shaders and overlays together really pushes the Pi hard - the memory isn't fast enough to support both at the same time at 1080p and 60 FPS. See here for the implications and what you can do to help.

Also make sure you have threaded video on. See here for why.

thanks dave for your help , love these shaders, i would not use the pi for emulation if it was not for those, they look super solid
