      Hi,

      I installed a fresh retropi 3.7 from SD on my pi 3 yesterday and started to use the default snes emulator (I just copied the roms, and launched several games to test it).

      Problem is that the games are working for a couple of seconds, then totally crashed the pi. no more ssh access, not even ping !
      only way I have to fix the issue is to unplug the power cord to reboot the pi :(

      Checked the config and used emu is : lr-snes9x-next

      Do anyone know what is happening here? and which emulator I should use to get this to work ?

      Edit : I have the same exact issue with n64 games...my pi crashes the same way. any advice ???

      thanks !!

        @meaning your powersupply isn't 2.5a /5.1v, at a guess.

          @meaning - Could be the bug relating to the Pi 3's inbuilt bluetooth, but I couldn't say for certain. I was happily using a Pi 2 and ps3 clone controller, but once I upgraded to the Pi 3 and used the built in bluetooth it crashed all the time in exactly the manner you described. I even found it kept crashing when I was using my wired SNES controller. After disabling the inbuilt bluetooth service from loading at start up everything was fine again.

            @dankcushions Good one!

            I think I made the mistake to buy a 2A... could it be a power issue? the pi do boot correctly, but once the power consumption gets to intense, it crashes ? :/

            In any circumpstance, I'll make sure to change them for 2.5A models

              @Pifan I will firstly change the power adaptor, if it still crashes, then I will investigate your solution. Thank you for replying me !
