@gamblecrack You can forget about ps2. No Pi has that kind of power.
I want try that.

@gamblecrack It seems you don't understand that the PCSX2 emulator is only available for a PC system and - in addition to the computing power needed - it's not even installable on a Raspberry PI. But you're free to give it a shot if you want.
-
And how can I install it?

Get a PC. PCSX2 is only available for x86 compatible systems.

@XboxWin @mediamogul
I installed retropie on my linux (Linux Mint), but PS2 (even having some roms) does not appear on menu selection.
Is there any more configuration for me to do ? -
@jamaisviciara You need to install the PS2 emulator from the RetroPie packages (experimental section), it's not installed by default.
-
@jamaisviciara While you're getting PCSX2 to run, you should try Project64, hands-down the best N64 emu for x86 and will run under Wine. It won't run on Pi under Exagear though, tried that...

Thanks for the feedback, folks. was lurking trying to see how to get PS2 games running on my pi w/ retropie. Now see that maybe I should stick to older gen consoles :)

i'm running ubuntu server 18.04
To install i have followed -https://github.com/PCSX2/pcsx2/wiki/Installing-on-Linux
When launching from retropie the pcsx2 setup wizard pops up but is stuck on the first page and in the terminal i see
[WX] Failed to create a temporary file name (error 2: No such file or directory)
[WX] can't open user configuration fileany ideas?

Heads up, PCSX2 1.6 is now out with a LOT of stuff fixed. Not sure how current the Linux build is, but I've been REALLY happy with the improvements to the Windows version. Many games that had severe rendering issues are now playable.
