Add control option retroarch

Hi guys,

Can i add a control line in the config for retroarch (mama 2003) for paddle support?
I have a game called Boothill.
I want to run that in mame 2003.
I got it running in Mame4all stand alone and in the settings i can route my joystick to control paddle up and down for the gun.
But in Mama 2003 i cannot choose to use paddle.
Can i add that??

Sure, why not ? Open the RetroArch GUI via Select + X while you have the ROM started and change the input settings from the menu options, then choose to save core/game overrides so the settings will persist after exiting RetroArch.

But in the retroarch gui there is no option for paddle up or down.
In some emulators its called "positional V analog Dec and Inc"
I like to add that otherwise the game is unplayable.

@gforce In this case, if you prefer to edit the configuration file, have a look at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/RetroArch-Configuration/#config-hierarchy to determine where to add the configuration parameters.
