NOOBS distro scraper issue and game saves

So, I finally was able to auto mount my usb and run my roms from it and not the sd card.
However, I now run into the issue where when I attempt a scrape, it kicks me out of emulation station and into terminal and says "no space allowed" . I was told its because its a NOOBS distro?
Is there a way for me to make retropie save scraper and game saves for when I am playing a game and want to save my progress all onto my usb?

Update all installed packages and try again. You might be using an older version of Emulationstation.
