      Dear users,

the title tells all. Since the PS1 roms weigh about 700MB each, and my raspberry microSD is only 16GB, I thought a thing.

I want to load PS1 roms from SMB, like Open PS2 loader, but on raspberry-retropie and for PS1 games.

Is it possible? And if it is, how?

      Thanks

Look at https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Running-ROMs-from-a-Network-Share/, it has the necessary steps to run your ROMs over the network.

Yes you can do this, I set mine up to do this a couple of weeks ago and all seems to work brilliantly.

            Thanks for the replies.

I managed to do it, but only for PSX folder because those games are a little heavy.

Now I want to know where the game saves (for all consoles, not only PSX) are stored, and where can I set this option.

            Thanks

@dam034 The save files are stored in the same location as the ROMs themselves, there's no separate folder for them.

@mitu In the folder "snes" I played a game and saved, but I can't see any save file, and when I restart the Retropie, I have to re-begin the game.

                What have I to do?

                Thanks

@dam034 What game and how did you save ? An in-game save or a save state ?
What emulator ? Please give more details about your setup - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first

@mitu The game is Super Mario World, it's a in-game save and the emulator is Nintendo 64 on Emulation Station.

                    What did I wrong?

                    Thanks

@dam034 As far as I know you can't play Super Mario World on Nintendo 64. Do you mean a different game or a different emulator?

Systems: Raspberry Pi 0/2/3 Model B+
                      Os: RetroPie 4.5
                      Frontend: Emulationstation & Attract Mode

@brigane Sorry I did a mistake. I wanted to tell Super Mario World on SNES.

@dam034 Are you running the ROM from the network mounted driver ? Make sure the pi user has proper write access to the ROM folders. Did you follow the instructions in the Wiki to set it up ?

@mitu I only run from network PS1 roms, the SNES and N64 roms are started from microsd. I checked in the "snes" and "n64" folders and I didn't find any save file.

                            Where I did wrong?

                            Thanks

@dam034 please give more details about your system - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first. Check your ROM folder permissions, try to use the Reset Rom Folder permissions function from the RetroPie setup script (https://retropie.org.uk/docs/FAQ/#reset-ownershippermissions-of-homepiretropie-roms).
