Background Music Compatible with Video Preview Audio?
-
@mitu Yes, there is an HAT on the RP3b+ so i guess The onboard card disabled itself when i installed it with the script provided. On this HAT there is a two pin contact for the speaker that i use. What i now don’t understand is why the audio for the emulators and the screensaver (videos played with omxplayer) do work perfectly, but not the audio for the video previews when selecting games.
The screensaver working is a one step closer at least! :D

If you selected
omxplayer
as video player in EmulationStation, then it should be enough to have audio properly working for video previews. The instruction in the sticky post refer to the on-board audio, so they don't match 100% to your case. If you Audio Device doesn't work with any of the options present - HDMI/Headphone are for the on-board audio - you can edit EmulationStation's settings file ($HOME/.emulationstation/es_settings.cfg
) and add the name there. I think more details are in the Audio documentation page. -
@mitu Thanks! I will look into this. :)

@mitu Ok, now i just heard that i did have sound on my previews, even when i select games! It is just veeeeery low. The screensaver sound is still on the right volume level, so do not know why they differ, but i vill try to investigate.
