It's a 2 days install of raspbian, but since I installed Retropie every time i boot i find this problem.

      *usbmount@dev-sda.service
Loaded: loaded (/lib/systemd/system/usbmount@.service; static; vendor preset: enabled)
      Active: failed (Result: exit-code) since Sun 2018-03-25 14:30:02 CEST; 1h 32min ago
      Process: 368 ExecStart=/usr/share/usbmount/usbmount add (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)
      Main PID: 368 (code=exited, status=1/FAILURE)

      Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi systemd[1]: Starting usbmount@dev-sda.service...
Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi usbmount[430]: dev/sda does not contain a filesystem or disklabel
      Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi systemd[1]: usbmount@dev-sda.service: Main process exited, code=exited, statu
      Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi systemd[1]: Failed to start usbmount@dev-sda.service.
Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi systemd[1]: usbmount@dev-sda.service: Unit entered failed state.
      Mar 25 14:30:02 raspberrypi systemd[1]: usbmount@dev-sda.service: Failed with result 'exit-code'.

Which makes the LXDE desktop load but disappear after a few seconds, showing me the terminal screen instead.

I, of course, can load the desktop again pressing the CTRL+Alt+F7 combo, and it seems there's no problem with the USB flash drive once I plug it out and in again, but not having it working properly being plugged in during startup does bother me.

Did any of you experience the same problem? Do you know a way to fix it?

      Thanks for your support.

@jl9 said in Problems after installing retropie manually on top of Raspbian Jessie:

This may be more trouble than it's worth for you. It's probably simpler to install the retropie image (you may want to use the raspbian stretch beta as going forward Jessie will be deprecated), and then install the pixel desktop from the setup script.

@herb_fargus I already did install it, made the whole thread from my Raspberry. Also I don't know why but the custom install i did for MPV and its codecs only works on tops of full raspbian, not raspbian lite. At least thats what the guy from the thread said.
