      I'm running RetroPie 4.3.15 (jessie) on a Pi 3.

I purchased a used 8bitdo NES30 Pro on eBay and today it arrived, and seems to be OK. It appears to be running firmware 4.10 based on what the update utility is telling me. I would like to use the controller via USB, and when I powered it on, then plugged it in via USB, I was able to map the buttons like you do with any other controller. I am able to navigate EmulationStation with no trouble, but as soon as I start a game with any emulator, no input seems to be picked up by RetroArch.

I confirmed via jstest that the controller is detected via js0, so Raspbian is seeing it. What am I missing? I admit I am brand new to 8bitdo.
