pisnes 2 player with keyboard

Hello all.
i've been working on my retro arcade build for a little while now and i came across a snag. i cannot for the life of me figure out how to get 2 player working on snes. i have remapped the inputs in the snes9x.cfg file and have player 1 working fine, but i cant get player 2 working. for clarification i need it working using keyboard inputs. i am using an ulimarc i-pac2 for my controle input and the pi recognizes it as a keyboard.
