      I made a config file for a vertical game using <game>.zip.cfg and put it in the arcade folder along with the rom. The cofing file contains:

      video_allow_rotate = true
      video_rotation = 1

      It rotated the game the way I want it too, but all other arcade games like the horizontal ones are rotated the wrong way. I thought that a per rom ocnfig would only affect a specific game?

      Would appreciate any help, I have been looking on this one for about a week now and I still have not seen a solution.

        @edwardthehuman it does only affect a specific game, BUT if you've edited your /all/retroarch.cfg or /mame-libretro/retroarch.cfg (or the .cfg for wherever you're running these arcade games from) to include the line:
        config_save_on_exit = true
        then the rotation settings will propagate to your global configs. this doesn't happen on default retropie.
