      [Hello,
I still have to pimp my bartop and love dynamic marquee.
I am thinking about this monitor (good old Chinese stuff 😄)

      https://german.alibaba.com/product-detail/8-inch-stretched-bar-lcd-display-1600x480-ips-85-85-85-85-lh080ib40-60684370745.html?spm=a2700.8698675.29.191.3379648fEI0tMt

Should be affordable, but don’t know the shipping costs yet.
      BUT
Now I need a USB GFX card and this should support the resolution of 1600*480 of the tat in the best way.
Are there any recommendations? I couldn’t find it?

Is therae any1 out ther, who has built an arcade bartop with dynamic marquee in a similar resolution?

Thanks in advance and don’t flame me, if I should have found the info anywhere in the forum ;-))

Ok, after some more research, I just put this interface in between
        https://www.pollin.de/p/lvds-interface-pi-mt6820-vga-zu-lvds-810220
and will use the vga port of an usb gfg card and then see how to get the marquee onto it

@krafitzi we had the same idea! I just opened a thread for this too though i was thinking of using the 16x32 LED matrix panels on adafruit and placing it behind smoked perspex to black it out

That screen looks perfect for a marquee... Do you already have one or are you ordering soon? That website screams "We will steal your credit card, and ship you nothing". I would be interested in that, if its legitimate, keep this updated please.

To my knowledge, Alibaba and Aliexpress are fairly trustworthy. I do know people that will order from there using Visa cash cards and the like though to avoid using credit cards.

I have heard some horror stories about that site. No personal experience though, and I can’t read German or find a way to change the language.

I have also seen a lot of positive results as well. But I will wait until someone has one in hand before I jump on it.

I would LOVE to have a dynamic marquee that changes when cycling through games. I’ve seen some posts about it but to be frank I don’t quite understand if and how they have really made it work.

If you get this to work I would be eternally gratefull for details on how to do it. A little guide would be awesome. I would then do/buy/programme type exactly the same :-D

                  Thanks!
