Odd "Pausing" / freezing in Kodi 17.6 & RetroPie 4.4 + Audio Pitch Issues with Video.

defantly did Not have this before updating, an di didnt just update via the script i backed up my kodi settings using the backup Program add-on, backuped up my Rom foldersand flashed the 4.4 SD Image over and copied everything back over,
Kodi takes alot longer to Exit. its randomly pausing everywhere in any UI options, the Youtube plugin can take upwards to 35 seconds to load the "My Subscriptions" listing.. i'm not sure if its because im copying back over the last of my collection to it, but again yea t'was not like this w/ 4.3.7
i use this not just as an entertainment box in the bedroom, but im one of many people that need noise to easily passout (that and i dont have something going my dreams get really Random-F'd up) and i use my Pi3 w/ Retropie to load Kodi up w/ something to zonk out to for the evening every night
Tried to see if Flix2Kodi would work (its a plugin for 16/17 but pretty much runs a browser in its place and so i installed Chromium. guess the plugin doesn't like the Pi or Chromium 60, because it doesn't load :/ not sure this could be teh case but i doubt it.
what could be causing these issues w/ 4.4 & Kodi 17.6?
Edit: i moved off an HDMI display after the transfers were done. and now i got Audio pitch issues (like trying to play 96khz on 44khz only device "Slow/low pitch" this doesnt seem an issue in emulators just in kodi.. is this all relating to the Issues to Why the team never updated to Kodi 17.6 w/ 4.3.7 ?

When comparing things make sure you do it in the same conditions/workload. Testing Kodi while while copying files over can make everything much slower.
Addons for Kodi that relies on Chromium don't work on the Raspberry Pi and other Linux ARM boards.
To check your problem we need your Kodi log with debug enabled when playing the problematic files and a sample of that file(s) may also help to test.

Are you using a 3B+ as i have similar issues and worked out its the power supply. It seems far more particular about the voltage it gets and i had to use a brand new offical psu and my problems went away.
