I wouldn't order a 3B+ just for that reason. You can safely assume there's very minimal improvement, if any. The only places you're likely to see improvements are situations where a game performs right at the passable edge on an RPi3B with only the occasional dropped frames. Even then, if it's the GPU that's the issue, you won't see any increase in performance at all, as the 3B+ uses the same VideoCore IV as it's predecessor.

@mediamogul @gorgar19 I got a 3B+ about 2 weeks ago. There is no noticeable performance boost as mogul said.
I haven't had the chance to test everything as life tends to get in the way but as far as I can tell everything is pretty much as it was on the previous 3B. Certainly seems that way to me as a fairly casual player. I don't get into measuring fps and the like for example.
My reason for getting the 3b+ was the superior dual-band Wifi and that works great for me. I'm consistently getting at the very least double the speed I was on the 3B. -
@gorgar19 some Mame titles will run marginally better. You should also be able to run many psx games with enhanced resolution mode turned on and the speed hack turned off. The difference is still pretty small.

Thank you for the response's
That's what I was assuming but I was crossing my fingers that I could add the 3do to my retropie machine
