Using an xbox 360 controller and have tried everything to get the embedded on-screen keyboard to work. This should work by pressing select but is not. Works ok with previous build of retropie but not 4.4. Any suggestions anyone?

THIS has really blocked me for a while until I realised that somewhere along the way defaults had changed (I wish this were advertised somehow) from "Cursor Joystick" to "Retro pad". So if you go to quick menu -> controls and check that that is changed there, should work.

I'm having a similar problem with retropie (4.4) on lr-fuse (1.7.3). I can bring up the keyboard no problem with my Xbox 360 controller, and can move around the keyboard, but I can't get any button to actually select anything on the keyboard and see it passed through to the emulator. I can set the A button to move up in the embedded keyboard, but not to select a key press.

Any help much appreciated. I'm trying to get a few Speccy games working on a single joystick for accessibility purposes.

@OneSwitch Did you find a solution to this in the end?

@Twig-0 please don't bump ancient topics, even if the issue seems similar to yours. Open a new topic and describe your problem, providing the info asked in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first.
