Hoping @edmaul may be able to help me out here;) With 4.3, Intellivision using jzintv and two ps3 controllers, I could get Ultimate Pong v9 working fine with two players. Since my change to 4.4, it only recognises input from one controller and the keyboard. Both controllers are showing up as connected at the bottom of the screen.

@fruitybit Not sure if this is relevant but the button numbers for PS3 controllers have changed in 4.4. If you are using keyboard hack files, then they may no longer be appropriate for your second controller.

It may be worthwhile to run event_diag.romto check the button numbers jzIntv recognises for your second controller. More info on running event_diag.rom at: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Mapping-a-Controller-for-Intellivision/#find-joystick-events.

You can find the new buttons numbers here.

@dudleydes Thanks- that’s most handy- I wasn’t using keyboard hacks, it just worked as was.

@fruitybit you mention it says both controllers are connected at the bottom of the screen. Are you sure you are using jzintv and not lr-freeintv?

@edmaul69 Most definitely jzintv, the libretro version doesn’t work with this rom. You’ve got me thinking though, the yellow controller text certainly shows one controller, to check, I turned off and then on with the second and the text came up, so not sure if the text cycled through both controllers at the start of the loading process or even if it should! Will have to check.

@fruitybit i dont get yellow text in jzintv because it is a libretro thing. When you start a game press a button to get into the config and verify that you are using jzintv as i believe you are using lr-freeintv

@edmaul69 My mistake, the yellow text wasn’t in the game, but in the menu. I’m definitely trying jzintv though.

@edmaul69 I’m just confusing things- I must have been in another game testing two player/controller things. Of course there’s no yellow text in jzintv- I’m sorry I’m not helping matters!

@fruitybit ok i can make the hackfile for you. Please tell me how you want your button layout to be (button 1,2 and 3 and exit.) Plus if you want enter, clear or number keys assigned to any buttons. Just let me kniw what you want where. Your analog stick of course are the directions. In this case i would assign exit to the ps button. Enter to start. Clear to reset. That leaves 7 buttons that could be assigned to number keys.

@edmaul69 That could well be awesome:) I won't say no yet, but I may well have a go myself (eep) I didn't think I was using a hackfile, but i need to compare my two systems to see if one had been loaded via the Donkey Kong rom I put on there.
Not going to burn any bridges, your offer is genuinely nice:) I'll see what I can tonight. Thank you!
