I have looked at multiple sites claiming you can combine the Track files of PSX into a single bin file but have had no luck. Am I misunderstanding this as not actually doable? I don't want to convert anything I don't have to and multi bins are fine, but I was trying to clean up the directory in my PsX Retropie folder

1 - Place the PSX disc into your CD/DVD drive or mount the image on your PC so it becomes a virtual drive. I use Daemon Tools Lite for this.
2 - Use IMGBurn to create a single BIN/CUE file from the mounted disc.

That's all I did. Took Tekken 3 with it's multiple tracks and created a single BIN/CUE this way. Also worked great for Tomb Raider.

@classicgmr Ok I think I know what I did wrong then. Thanks, I'll try it out after dinner.

There's a script out there to batch convert multiple tracks into a single bin file with isobuster.

You Only need open the .cue file with "isobuster". (Isobuster 3.9, not an Outdated older Version)
Than you click with right Mouse-button on "CD" and "extract" it to "image" "RAW (bin, iso)".
Choose ".bin" and save it to a location you like. After saved .bin file a second window appears to save the .cue file. Save it to the same location.
Thats All. You have multitrack files saved to one .bin file and .cue file.
Now you can compress the .bin with PSX2PSP Converter to have the smallest container for Emulation. Cheers.

I'm looking for Linux software, to make this job properly. Has anybody tried binmerge Python script?

You Only need open the .cue file with "isobuster".
You need to be careful with it. I've tried to merge CD image with Isobuster 2.4, and got bad image. There wasn't info about audio tracks in the cue file and they were unworkable. Virtual Drive with CD Image making software seems make fine CD image.

@POPEYE Would it be possible for you to use MAME's CHDMAN on Linux?

On Windows, I use that to batch convert to CHD then batch convert back to a cue and single bin. Lots of wasted processing and time, but as long as you have the space you can just leave it compressing or uncompressing all your games unattended.

Here's an archive containing Windows batch files that I thought might help you figure things out. I know you can't use batch files and the included chdman.exe is probably a Windows-only version.

Sorry if it turns out you can't use CHDMAN on Linux. Just trying to help even if I'm at best a Linux noob from my RetroPie tinkering.

@POPEYE You have used a Outdated Version of Isobuster. I used "Isobuster 3.9 Pro" and it makes Info`s about Audio Tracks in the Cue file. All working fine.

I actually switched recently to CDMage. It's not being updated anymore but it is fast and easy. Does the job. :)

@PittStone My mistake. You told about that. I just took information from here. There is no information about version, and is told about some free version.

I am still searching for native Linux solution...
