Are you asking for development advice or you already have a game you created and you want to add it to RetroPie ?

For development advice as I have the game concept but not sure which coding language will work with retro pie.

@lynn RetroPie is geared more towards emulation of retro consoles and less towards running standalone games. I'm afraid I don't have any advice here, but remember that RetroPie runs on Raspbian Linux, so you could have that as a filter when you choose how to develop your game.

@lynn pygame is worth looking at, or C++/SDL2 are nice and portable

@lynn If it's a 2D game, then you could try the Love engine. The site is down at the moment due to the hard drives failing on their server.

Info on installing Love as well as adding some games can be found at: https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Love/

why not just use the retroach framework to write your game in that way it can work on retropie and all retroarch systems

If you are paying someone to code a game for you my only advice would be dont pay a penny until the games is done. There are a lot of people online that will be willing to take your money and do nothing in return.

@grant2258 fully understand the risk there, if i source for developer in my country it's very expensive with my limited budget :(
