Configuration screen has metadata after using scraper
-
Greetings everyone! I just got my first Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+. I’m using a 32GB SD card. I have a Logitech MK270 wireless keyboard and mouse hooked up to it and a iBuffalo gaming pad. I tried using the default scraper and was getting the resize image error, so I decided to try the Steven Selph scraper. When I go to the configuration screen all the sub menus have metadata. For example, the Audio menu has ‘unknown’ three times and next to it it says ‘players: 1’. Then it has the description for what the audio configuration does. Would anyone know how to fix this? Thanks for the help!

@undyingdisciple Edit the
gamelist.xml
for theretropie
system, should be available in the/home/pi/.emulationstation/gamelists/retropie
. You can edit the XML file and remove the undesirable tags.
Btw, the Emulationstation built-in scraper should work fine now, give it a try. -
Thanks! The built-in scraper does work, but I’m getting used to the video clips that play! So many choices!

Unfortunately that didn’t work. I erased the meta values and saved the .xml files, but it still appears the same way in the configuration page. Any place else this info could be?

Did you restart Emulationstation after modifying the file ? What theme are you using ?

I did sudo reboot and I’m using carbon theme.
