[SOLVED] Video Splash Screen Does Not Fully Play
-
I have this problem too. What was your solution?
[edit]
I've managed to solve this issue by omitting the -b option for omxplayer in /etc/init.d/asplashscreen on line 39, so it now reads: omxplayer --layer 10000 "$line"

@WeAreGeek
How to I get to the directory? I am having the same issue and a bit of a noob. Thanks for any help. -
@iamthefoof In the command line type
sudo nano /etc/init.d/asplashscreen
make the change, thenCtrl+X
to exit, thenY
to save and thenEnter
to leave the editor. After this reboot. -
@WeAreGeek Brilliant! This solved my problem as well. Thanks.
-
@AlexMurphy It shows an empty script. Do I have a missing file?
-
@zackyvillian The splashscreen code has been updated recently, try editing the
/opt/retropie/supplementary/splashscreen/asplashscreen.sh
file instead. -
I know this is old, but it just helped me today. Thank you everyone.

This worked for me aswell, Thank you!
But...
Now all the video previews in retropie is lagging and stuttering. It has not done that before this. How can it be related? -
@beltet Please give more details about your setup - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first
