I appreciate a lot your help with the link mediagul, I made it work!!!!!!!
Amazing and remembering my chilhood.
Just one doubt. I find the xbox joystick whith low sensitivity...would you know if I can change that parameter? Also, Is it possible to change the level of difficulties in the games?
Regards and have a nice weekend

I can not comment on the Xbox controller as I use arcade joysticks, but for the difficulty of the games there are two main options you can look to.

Is cheats and hacks. There are codes and modifications you can make to games to make them more or less difficult, but I would not recommend them in your case until you are more comfortable working with the configuration files and such.
-
Many arcade games like Pac-Man have a service game menu different from the Retropie menu. In this menu you have access to dip switches that were built into the game that effect the difficulty. For Pac-Man there is a dip switch that you can toggle on or off that control if the ghosts speed up in higher levels or not.
On a personal note; I am not surprised that these settings exist and as an adult I am glad I can shift the game one way or the other for whom ever is playing but my inner child swore up a storm when I realized some arcade vendors were setting the game to harder settings to suck more quarters from my pockets when I was little.

Thank you both, Lurker and Clyde
I appreciate very much your help and time to help me learning about this new machine.
I will make some try and find out if I can improve the joystick output and level of dificulty.
Regards and will keep in contact

@funtana40 I'm curious, did you choose mame4all because you have a Pi 1 or Zero, or why else? If you own a Pi 2 or 3, lr-mame2003 would be the recommended MAME variant.
-
@clyde AdvanceMame FTW! (crawl and hide 😂)
-
I'd say AdvanceMAME runs equally as well as lr-mame2003 on a Pi 2 or 3 and has the added benefit of a much larger ROM set. However, the configuration learning curve is higher and there are many people who like using the shaders which are only available in the libretro cores. I personally use AdvanceMAME myself, but both it and lr-mame2003 are great MAME options.
-
I'm using AdvanceMAME for vector games because its the higher resolution, and lr-mame2003(-plus for games that need it) for all other games because of its shaders and its universal configuration across all systems.
@Funtana40 FYI in this regard, Retropie's Runcommand menu let's you choose different emulators for either a single game or all games of the emulated system easily.

Hi all,
I used mame4all because I was doingt it wrong.
After reading the instructions on the link mediamogul post I moved to lr-mame2003 wich seems to work well for the 3-4 games I have played.
I just got two arcade joysticks form amazon and will mount tomorrow. Lets see how it works....
ahhhh I forgot to comment, I own Rapsberry 3...
Regards and have fun
