Recording gameplay in RetroPie 4.4.1
-
Hey guys,
I saw in the update log that
"RetroArch updated to v1.7.1 (built with video recording support via ffmpeg on Raspbian Stretch)."
(https://retropie.org.uk/docs/Changelogs/)I was wondering what I need to do to enable it? I saw in Retroarch.cfg there is an option
# Toggle between recording and not.
# input_movie_record_toggle = o
When I enable that I get a file with the extension
.srm.bsv
and I am unable to play it. I'm not sure what this file actually is.My question is do I still have to follow tutorials such as found here:
https://retroresolution.com/2016/07/06/recording-live-gameplay-in-retropies-retroarch-emulators-natively-on-the-raspberry-pi/or is there something built in already?

There's a thread about recording through retroarch on the forums wrote up, don't have the link off the top of my head but it's simpler than the blog you linked

Are you talking about this link?

This is a post on screen casting:

This is the latest on recording gameplay with ffmpeg. It will more than likely be laggy.
