Retro Pie won’t boot when connected to Nespi case
-
I got a Nespi case to put my raspberry pi in. RetroPie was working perfectly fine when on its own, no issues, but when I put it in the Nespi case it won’t boot up at all. The red and green light are on but the green lights not flickering. It’s something with the case but don’t know what it is. I’m using a 5v 2.5a adapter.

Seems like a faulty case, wouldn't you agree ?
-
@mitu maybe, I hope not. The lights only come on when I put them on different prongs so it might be faulty :(

I'd get a refund. If the Pi works out of the case, but not the other way around, the case has a problem. YMMV.

I was in the same spot as you a couple days ago - or so I thought. On the board that's mounted to the inside-front of the NesPi, there's a switch that needs to be set to "Off" prior to installing the safe shut down script. I forgot to toggle it. It's mentioned in the instructions and is accessible with the top piece off, without removing the Pi itself. Hope you made the same mistake I did.

@Nextus
Make sure you've purchased the NESPi Case +, the latest revision from RetroFlag.
There were issues reported with the previous case and the higher power requirements of the Pi 3+.@angry_bucket
I don't think that's correct, but curious to know more about your experience.RetoFlag's safe shut-down script advises to set this to On before installing the scripts. I followed this and everything works fine (as long as EmulationStation is running).

[Edit] I purchased one of these a month ago - love it.
