I have a new install of retro pi.... retropie-4.4-rpi2_rpi3.img. After I installed it, I updated all the packages through one of the menus.

I have a issue with configuring my Xbox 360 wireless controller. When it is time to configure the left trigger, it will configure but then the right trigger configure slot will get skipped.

Any ideas on how to fix this? Or can could someone give me the filename and the value to type in manually?

This has been an issue for a while with certain controllers that have analog triggers. It doesn't fix the actual behavior, but once the automatic mapping progression has stopped, you can always go back up the list and map the missing trigger.

@dman777 as @mediamogul said. The issue is that it is an analog potentiometer that is actually seen as a + and a - axis. I believe you want to set them both as the +axis.

Uninstalling and reinstalling could also help. At least it worked for Logitech controllers with the same issue.

Can you try to see if you're in the same situation ? Re-image the card with the 4.4 image, but don't update - just try and see if you get the same behavior.

@daveybones Update the RetroPie script and then re-install the xpad driver, it should work now.
