      when removing the flag that disabled retroarch recording.. on a Ubuntu/retropie install.. after ffmpeg is correctly installed. Retropie setup can still not see the ffmpeg recording driver.

      hoping there is another flag that needs to be flipped, but have been unable to locate it.

      sed -i "s/--disable-ffmpeg//" scriptmodules/emulators/
      

      above sample was tested on rpi3 and worked
      was taken from: http://selsine.com/2016/10/15/how-to-record-a-game-play-video-from-a-retropie/

      odroidxu4 was setup in accordance to this guide: https://github.com/RetroPie/RetroPie-Setup/wiki/Odroid-XU3-XU4

      happy to post additional logs, but retropie-setup did not fail, unsure of which output or where to look next to stop retropie-setup from disabling recording.

        noting, that the flag --disable-ffmpeg appears to only be within the one file

        /scriptmodules/emulators/retroarch.sh

          RetroPie Version Used: 4.4.1
          Built From: Ubuntu 16.04 minimum
