@mitu strangely select doesnt work on other controllers for me. I had to map hotkey to the globe on 360 controller and ps button on the ps3 controller. I dont have an 8bitdo anymore to test.

@edmaul69 Yesterday on my Pi3 B+ after updating Retropie ( was 4.4) + Kernel (thru Retropie's update menu) I got two nice issues:

        • the known kernel related "login issue" (unfortunately I found out after updating). Found workaround in the forum.

        • ALL controllers (pads and keyboards) messed up in Libretro cores but working in ES and other (e.g. Advancemame). A reset of Retroarch controllers and reconfiguring them in ES solved everything. Maybe you can try this.

@1219chicho Use the RetroPie-Setup script, go to the main package page, open Emulationstation and you should have an entry to reset your controller configuration. After performing this step, restart ES and it should ask you to configure the controller.

Yeah I've put soooo much work into my cabinet controls I can't do that. My hoy key is at least working I just can't change it. This will be a nightmare if you mess it up and get it stuck on the wrong button
