Mame2003 PLUS Dipswitch?

So I am toying around with mame2003-plus on some of the games that run well with lr-mame2003 and I cannot seem to get into the service menu by pressing F2. Nothing happens. I want to raise the volume in Mortal Kombat 2. I was able to do this fine in regular Mame2003.
